ABOUT US

The Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce (COAACC) opened for membership on January 18, 2018 with the vision of being the premiere advocate for Black Owned businesses in our region. COAACC is a one-stop shop that develops, advocates, and educates on issues impacting the inclusion and growth of Black owned businesses in Central Ohio. We provide business development opportunities, access to capital, entry into new markets, and relationship building through strategic partnership and collaborative opportunities. We work to position our members, and all Black Owned businesses, as desirable, qualified, and capable business candidates.

COAACC represents any business that is 51% or more owned and controlled by an African American operating in or doing business in the Central Ohio Region. We proudly serve and advocate for Black Businesses of any size or age in the following counties: Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Perry, Pickaway, and Union.

COAACC was started to fill a void in the market for culturally specific development and advocacy on behalf of our business owners. Our Pillars of Service:

All Central Ohio African American Chamber of Commerce (COAACC) initiatives are aligned with one or more of our Pillars of Service:

Advocacy: promoting legislation and initiatives that promote the growth of our members, and of all small businesses in Central Ohio.
Access: removing barriers to meaningful streams of capital and contracts by working with financial institutions and corporations to identify, curate, and disseminate applicable information to expand our businesses.
Acceleration: growing African American owned and controlled businesses through training opportunities and referrals to resources that further positive business activities.
